The client needed a seamless Wi-Fi experience across multiple houses, each with two floors and poured concrete slabs that typically block wireless signals. They wanted a single Wi-Fi name (SSID) for convenience, so staff could move between buildings without constantly reconnecting. Reliability was key, as poor coverage would directly affect daily operations.
Most households would attempt to solve this problem with consumer-grade Wi-Fi extenders or “plug-and-play” mesh systems. However, these options often lead to slow speeds, frequent disconnections, and wasted investment, especially when concrete barriers are involved.
After a site assessment, we designed and deployed a business-grade solution using the TP-Link Omada platform. This included:
